CBSE School Directory Guide

The School Directory is an index of CBSE affiliated educational institutions across India. It allows teachers and job-seekers to review school profiles, write verified reviews, and check vacancies.

1. Searching School Records

You can locate affiliated institutions on our dashboard using several parameters:

  • Affiliation Number: The most direct way. Enter the 5 or 6-digit CBSE affiliation number to view verified records.
  • Location Filter: Filter schools by selecting State and District options.
  • School Name: Search using key words from the school's registered name.

2. School Onboarding (For Administrators)

If you are a school principal, administrator, or HR representative, you can claim your school profile to post jobs and review applicant CVs.

Official CBSE Shiksha Verification:

To prevent unauthorized claims, onboarding requires verification through the school's official CBSE Shiksha email address:

  1. Select your school from the directory using the affiliation number.
  2. Our system identifies your official Shiksha domain email (e.g., [schoolcode]@cbseshiksha.in).
  3. Click "Send OTP". A secure 6-digit OTP will be dispatched to that address (expires in 5 minutes).
  4. Enter the OTP on the TeachCBSE portal to instantly verify and bind the account.

3. School Reviews & Ratings

Teachers can review schools on parameters like work culture, salary promptness, and administrative support.

Moderation Rules:

To ensure constructive feedback, reviews must not contain offensive language, personal names of staff members, or spam. Reviews can be flagged by other users. If a review receives 5 or more flags, it is automatically hidden pending moderator review.
